Pearce Appointed to Sovereign Housing Association Framework Pearce Group has won a four year framework with the Sovereign Development Consortium, joining a panel of four contractors who will build up to 500 affordable homes per year over the next four years

60 units have already been allocated to Pearce in the Bristol and Wiltshire areas.

The appointment was influenced by Pearce's track record of working within frameworks with a broad range of retail clients, including Tesco and MandS.

In this sector, the company has demonstrated the benefits of implementing modern methods of construction - particularly with regard to lean techniques involving off site fabrication and collaborative planning and sourcing with the supply chain.

It is also expected that Pearce will work closely with Sovereign on land assembly deals and possible joint ventures.

Commenting on the appointment, Pearce director, Andrew Dale-Harris, said: "This is an excellent opportunity for Pearce to work closely with our local supplier base to deliver top quality affordable housing with an identified forward workload".

"We have set tough challenges for cost and programme and will be utilising a great deal of the learning we have gained from frameworks in other sectors".
