Permaban AlphaSlide Formwork System features in the Medipav and Somero Post-Tensioning System event in Pergugia County, Italy.

Permaban have been at the forefront of floor design, installation, product manufacture, floor repair, maintenance and aftercare for 25 years.

Founded in 1983, Permaban are a leading supplier in the UK, Europe, Middle East and Asia.

The product range offers quality solutions for 'leave-in-place' formwork, dry-shake floor toppings, concrete curing and sealing products.

On the 4th - 8th May 2009, Permaban took part in the Medipav and Somero Post-Tensioning System event located in Pergugia County, Italy.

The 9,800 m2 post tensioned slab-on-ground was installed using the new Somero SXP-D Laser Screed an evolution in Post Tenshioned Slab-on-Ground technology in terms of joint-less floors, with no cracks (Image 1: Post Tensioning System).

Medipav's installation included 201 meters of Permaban's new AlphaSlide formwork system which was specifically developed for wide joint openings up to 40mm.

AlphaSlide allows the post installation of AlphaSlide Shrinkage strips into the shrinkage gap to provide a smooth transition across the joint with no shrinkage gap.

AlphaSlide can be supplied with holes ready punched in the AlphaSlide divider plate to suit the tensioning anchor or holes for the tensioning cables to pass through.

Medipav's first use of Permaban's AlphaSlide formwork system was very positive and they intend to use AlphaSlide on all their Post-Tension System projects.

There were also a number of engineers and floor contractors attending the event who will now use AlphaSlide.
