Grassform offers Trakmat protection to customers

Grassform Plant Hire has taken on sales and hire services of Trakmats ground protection system.

Grassform were offered the chance to take on sales and hire of Trakmats for London, the South East and the Home Counties, offering dispatch and collection to almost any site in this area.

Trakmats have a light colour which reflects sunlight, reducing heat absorption and increases the time mats can be left in one place before grass is harmed.

The sheets are available in 2,440x1,130mm or 2,440x560mm sizes for sale or hire plus offer delivery by Grassform.

A double-sided, anti-slip surface grips the ground to prevent mat movement, also giving traction to tyres and tracks that run over the top.

Each 12.7mm thick polyethylene sheet weighs 33kg.

The Trakmat system offers a load capacity of up to 60 tonnes.

The system is suitable for temporary roadways across grass areas, emergency access routes, muddy driveways and on concrete or paving to protect both the surface and tyres.

Connection of the mats is enabled via three different methods: urethane connectors for long-term connection; metal connectors for heavy and tracked equipment; and U pins for slopes and cambers on soft surfaces.

Trakmats are only offered in a light green colour and double-sided anti slip format at present.

They cost GBP215 per full size sheet, or GBP120 per half sheet, or GBP10 per week to hire the full size sheets and GBP8 per week for the half size.
