Geotex'07, the series of regional seminars dedicated solely to the Ground Engineering sector kicked off at Manchester United in March this year.

Sponsored by Keller Ground Engineering and organized by Phi Group Limited, the first event was attended by senior decision makers in the geotechnical, civil engineering, house building and main contractor sectors.

Delegates were entered into a prize draw, and the winner, Mr Alistair Wilson, a Senior Estimator with Taylor Woodrow Construction won 2 hospitality tickets consisting of complimentary drinks and a 3 course meal in the Red Cafe prior to the Premier League match between Manchester United and Blackburn Rovers.

Technical presentations were given by Geofirma Soils, Platipus Anchors, Churngold Remediation, Siltbuster, Tencate Geosynthetics, Keller Ground Engineering and Phi Group.

Dedicated to solving ground engineering problems, the seminars covered Ground Improvement Techniques, Foundation Support Systems, Earth Retaining Solutions, Soil Stabilisation, Treatment of Hazardous Soils, Solid/Liquid separation and Geosynthetics.

Geotex '07 continues in April at the Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh, then in May at Twickenham, in June at the Millennium Stadium Cardiff, in September at Southampton FC and concludes at the RAF Museum, Telford in October.

Delegate registration is FREE and a complimentary buffet and refreshments are provided.

There is an opportunity to tour the facility after the event has finished and delegates are entered into a draw with the chance to win tickets to a top flight match at that stadium.
