UK rural property specialist Pineapple Developments is managing the conversion on the family's behalf.
Stephen Bitmead explains the reasoning behind the project: 'The family has owned this beautiful old barn for nearly a century.
No longer appropriate for modern farm equipment, we believe a sympathetic conversion to offices is the best way of preserving a working building for many future generations.
The Bitmeads expect that the offices will be attractive to companies wanting a rural location, but needing state-of - the-art facilities: 'The conversion will result in a stunning construction in an idyllic location.
We are retaining as many original features as possible, including exposed elm timbers.
It will have the look and feel of an old historic building, but with the necessary cabling infrastructure to meet modern office needs.' Care has been taken to make the project environmentally sensitive.
Stephen Bitmead continues: 'Large windows will maximise natural light.
Pumps using ground source energy will provide heating in winter, and cooling in summer.
There will be ample car parking, but space for cycles will be provided.
Manor Farm is also convenient for the local station, shops and restaurants.' The 6000 square feet of office space will be ready by end 2007.
Pineapple Developments and Adkin Rural and Commercial will find appropriate clients for the offices on behalf of Cholsey Great Barns Limited.
