Pick Everard appointed for South Midlands NHS LIFT project Pick Everard has been appointed as Technical Advisor to the South Midlands Local Improvement Finance Trust (LIFT) project.

One of the 51 NHS LIFT schemes across England, the South Midlands LIFT projects will be in Northampton (GBP27million) and Corby (GBP9.7million).

Pick Everard's role will look at the suitability of land or sites and advise the Primary Care Trusts on the procurement of the schemes.

Pick Everard will also help to evaluate bids and assess both the capital and future maintenance costs of any sites and buildings being proposed.

First established in 2001, NHS LIFT is a new model for the delivery of investment in land and buildings and is a strategic step change for the primary care service sector.

As ninety per cent of all NHS patient contact is at primary care level, this is where investment in modern, state of the art facilities for health and social care in the 21st century is most needed.

As a multi-disciplinary practice, the Pick Everard Technical Advisor team will include quantity surveyors, architects, civil engineers, environmental engineers and facilities management specialists.

Pick Everard associate and lead technical advisor, Alastair Hamilton, says, "We have been involved in many NHS and healthcare projects and are delighted to have been awarded this commission.".
