Leading architectural and engineering practice Pick Everard has appointed three new directors.

Leading architectural and engineering practice Pick Everard has appointed three new directors - Andrew Almond, Alastair Hamilton and David Nisbet.

All three were previously Associates at Pick Everard.

Andrew Almond, a Chartered Architect who studied at DeMontfort University, joined Pick Everard in June 1992 and has been Project Architect on many large developments for clients including J Sainsbury, MOD, Crown Property Services, Midland Bank, British Gas, Cambridge Water, Alliance and Leicester and Leicester Race Course.

Andrew has been instrumental in Pick Everard winning a number of design competitions and has recently worked on five UK showrooms for Porcelanosa, the refurbishment of a listed industrial building and on new housing projects.

His new architectural design group responsibilities involve major schemes in the education, commercial and regeneration sectors.

Chartered Quantity Surveyor Alastair J Hamilton joined Pick Everard in 1986 and has wide experience of general Quantity Surveying practice, Project Management and Audit and Facilities Management Consultancy services, providing advice to a variety of private and public sector clients on strategy, procurement, commercial management and implementation of contracts from conception to completion.

With his wide knowledge of procurement methods, contract strategy, contract procedures and operations, Alastair has been responsible for providing cost consultancy and project management services for large construction schemes in commercial, industrial, education, healthcare and residential sectors.

He has also taken a leading role in property and facilities management strategic reviews and audits and the successful procurement and management of new national and regional service and maintenance contracts for a number of blue chip clients.

Chartered Architect David M Nisbet joined Pick Everard in 1991.

David's experience includes managing design teams on large construction projects for new buildings and major refurbishments.

Varied projects over the last ten years have ranged from major prestigious office fit out contracts providing the latest data technical office environments for BT, to the upgrading, refurbishment and building of new NHS healthcare facilities, including refitting an hospital paediatric intensive care unit, and numerous studies for the MoD including designs for single living accommodation.

David is currently managing and developing the practice's custodial work under alliance agreements for the Prison Service with major national contractors, and has currently secured work on developments at HMP Wellingborough, HMP High Down, and HMP Leeds amongst others.
