Pick Everard are working on designs to extend and refurbish two office buildings for Severn Trent Water following the recent completion of four feasibility studies.

Project managers at leading multi disciplinary practice Pick Everard are working on designs to extend and refurbish two office buildings in Birmingham and Warwickshire for Severn Trent Water following the recent completion of four feasibility studies The first phase includes a £2million project to refurbish and extend a traditional 1970's brick building in Longbridge in Warwickshire

A £5million modernisation is planned for dated accommodation in Edgbaston where a contemporary, minimal design approach to the interior will echo the bold simplicity of the existing 1930's art deco building.

In line with contemporary thinking about office interiors, spaces will be modern and flexible to allow staff to 'hot-desk'.

Both buildings will get bold and inviting new entrances that are glazed, light and airy.

Pick Everard is providing a comprehensive design service including architecture, mechanical, electrical and structural engineering and quantity surveying.

The first phase is expected to be complete in 2007.

David Brunton, Managing Partner at Pick Everard comments, "We're delighted to be given an opportunity to design a modern working environment incorporating the latest ideas about energy efficiency and sustainability that we know are so important to Severn Trent Water".

"Pick Everard is very focussed on environmentally sustainable buildings and being BSEN ISO 14001 certified is able to contribute significant specialist expertise.".
