Pick Everard celebrates 10 years in Scotland
Engineering and architectural practice Pick Everard celebrates its ten-year anniversary of being in Scotland.
Engineering and architectural practice Pick Everard celebrates its ten-year anniversary of being in Scotland on the 8th February.
Pick Everard first established an office in Scotland, in Glasgow, in December 1996 when it bought out Kenneth Munro and Associates.
The firm began by providing clients with mechanical and electrical engineering expertise, expanding during the late '90's by adding civil and structural engineering services and today boasts a 20 strong Glasgow team, led by Partner Andy Donaldson.
In 1998, Pick Everard ventured further north, opening a second office in Scotland, in Inverness.
Now the largest mechanical and electrical consultancy practice in Inverness, Pick Everard has a growing team of local, experienced electrical and mechanical engineers, CAD technicians and clerk of works, headed up by associate Neil MacRae.
And last summer the Inverness team of 6 moved to larger offices to allow for growth in 2007.
The Scottish Pick Everard team is well versed in a multidisciplinary approach and works closely with architects and other professionals.
A good example of this is with Tulloch Prime Contracting for Highlands and Islands Enterprise where the Pick Everard Inverness team is developing sustainable construction initiatives for office and factory developments using green technologies such as micro wind generation, solar water heating, passive ventilation and energy saving lighting controls.
Pick Everard has a wide-ranging client portfolio in Scotland that includes The Universities of Glasgow and Strathclyde and Glasgow Metropolitan College, Scottish Media Group, East Dunbartonshire, North Lanarkshire, Western Isles and The Highland Councils, The Northern Joint Police Board, Strathclyde Police, The Forestry Commission, Highland and Western Isles NHS Trusts and Morgan=est, May Gurney and Barhale.
As Pick Everard's capabilities in Scotland develop, there are plans to reach into other areas such as Moray and Perthshire regions, crossing the divide between the two Everard offices.
Partner Andy Donaldson comments, "Pick Everard has long-standing expertise in engineering and a breadth of skills and abilities, especially in sustainability and environmental management that can be called upon".
"We are looking forward to the next ten years and to supporting the dynamic construction industry in Scotland.".
