Pilkington's Group new website includes comprehensive online technical database of all technical information relating to product portfolio of internal wall and floor solutions.

The group has recognised that today's market place is ever changing and fast-paced and it can be difficult to keep up-to-date with the latest technical and product information.

To assist, the company has created one place for information which is accessible at all times and brings together a wide range of resources and information.

The new site includes a dedicated section for architects and specifiers which has been designed to meet the needs and requirements of this key market sector.

Since the launch of the old website the Group has rapidly extended their portfolio of specialist materials and wall and flooring solutions and the upgrading of the website is a natural progression to assist in providing their customer a first-class service.

The aim of the new website is to provide comprehensive technical information to architects, specifiers and building professionals in an easily accessible format and through a medium that is available instantaneously and at all times.

The technical library is designed to bring together a variety or resources and information and present it in a practical format which is easy to use.

Key data is summarised with complete reference articles and reports downloadable in PDF format.

Industry hot topics such as slip resistance and DDA compliance have dedicated sections.

The slip resistance section contains a wealth of information regarding test methods and interpretation of results, how slip resistance is achieved as well as an interesting case study about the sustainability of slip resistant surfaces.

The DDA guidance section offers summary information about compliance requirements and tools to measure compliance including information about Light Reflectance Values (LRV).

The technical library allows specifiers to find required information quickly and to make fast and informed decisions about appropriate design solutions.

For each product, it is possible to download a specification sheet which details relevant information about the product such as construction details, or relevant test results associated with British Standards (for example, BS EN14411 for ceramic, vitrified and porcelain tiles.)
