Pickerings Lifts wins Maintenance Award
Leading independent UK lift company, Pickerings Lifts (Pickerings) has won the Whitbread Group Planned Preventative Maintenance 'Contractor of the Year' 2005 Award.
Leading independent UK lift company, Pickerings Lifts (Pickerings) has won the Whitbread Group Planned Preventative Maintenance 'Contractor of the Year' 2005 Award at its National Supplier Conference, held at Eastwood Hall, Nottingham on 24 November and attended by more than 100 guests The Award, presented by Whitbread Group development director, Desmond Taljaard, was for 'outstanding achievement' in the field of maintenance support

Pickerings Lifts has launched the Sigma range of goods/passenger and passenger lifts, incorporating the latest in machine room-less technology.
In accepting the award on behalf of Pickerings, maintenance services director, Ian Bowers said: "This prestigious accolade reflects the outstanding work of our maintenance services team.
"In particular, it pays tribute to our national network of experienced and responsive lift engineers, working round the clock to help maintain Whitbread's high quality of customer service." Pickerings provides a full service to Whitbread Group, including both maintenance and new lift provision and works with such Group companies as TGI Friday's, Beefeater, Costa Coffee, Brewers Fayre and Premier Travel Inns.
The Award follows the enhancement earlier this year of Pickerings' maintenance and support programme, doubling the size of its dedicated accounts team and increasing systems investment.
"The goal is to provide complete, personalised support delivering best-in-class service in the UK lift industry," confirms Bowers.
