JD Wetherspoon awards contract to Pickerings Lifts

Pickerings Lifts has been selected by leading pub chain, JD Wetherspoon to provide lift repair and service support for approximately 75 per cent of its estate across the UK.

The contract includes full maintenance and support for a range of lift products, including cellar hoists and passenger lifts.

Following a comprehensive tender process, JD Wetherspoon selected Pickerings, "as it is a highly reputable independent business combining the strengths of a national supplier with the personalised and flexible service quality of a local supplier," confirms purchasing manager, Paul Brimmer.

"In addition, Pickerings' ability to provide responsive, one-stop shop support via its network of regional offices is especially important for our business, in which lift downtime must be kept to a minimum to ensure a high quality of service to our customers".

For his part, Pickerings' maintenance services director, Ian Bowers believes that, "in an ever more demanding marketplace, the success with Wetherspoons reflects an increasing awareness of our unrivalled 24/7 service quality.".
