Pickerings Lifts the load at GIST

Following a successful three-depot trial, Pickerings Lifts has been selected to provide full maintenance services nationally for leading supply chain solutions provider, GIST.

As part of the agreement, which will be rolled out to GIST's 18 distribution centres across the UK, Pickerings will service and repair loading systems, including dock loaders, scissor lifts and associated doors.

For Mick Swindle, purchasing manager GIST, "with its national network of service engineers and regional offices, Pickerings is ideally geared to deliver the cost-effective and consistently high level of service we demand".

In addition, Pickerings has provided site-specific risk assessments, detailing how service can best be provided in each individual depot, including bonded warehouses and refrigeration units.

"Our work with GIST reflects our uniquely flexible consultative approach in providing bespoke service and maintenance support," confirms Pickerings sales director, Bob White.
