Pilkington's Tiles Group, the leading UK manufacturer of ceramic tiles, recently launched the first of the innovative Capsule Collections.

The 'Directions' collection has two individual ranges - Essential and Rustic - which have been created in response to consumer demands and home-style trends.

Lesley-Ann K Blamire, Group Design and Marketing Director, says of the new collection, "Allowing the introduction of more sector targeted ranges throughout the year, Directions is gentle and minimalist in design, incorporating a soft palette of refreshing shades - the natural partners of today's easy living pale woodgrains.

Distinctive mosaic strips harmonise in colour, adding depth and individuality to any scheme." The Essential collection is available in Almond, Beech, Cedar and Ivory with three tiles incorporating different fossil motif designs.

The Rustic collection is available in Cameo, Chalk, Cotto, Mercury, Sand, Shell, Steel and Stone.

Sizes options are 100mm x 100mm for the field tiles and 200mm x 48mm for the mosaic tile.

Traditionally, the 100mm x 100mm size has proven more popular in the kitchen, however the different textures and combinations of the Directions collection allows greater scope for use in the bathroom.
