Two Sides To Every Story

A Pilkington's Tiles product story

Pilkington's Tiles has launched stunning new decorative enhancements to the popular 100x100mm 'Antica' collection. The range comprises of two palettes 'Accents' and 'Rustics'.

The new decorations, aimed to add a contemporary angle to the existing collection, take influence from geometric shapes and mosaic patterns and are enhanced by the use of metallic and lustre applications, mirroring materials such as glass and metal which feature heavily in today's minimal approach to interior design.

There are two sides to every story and the 'Antica' story is no exception, the range comprises of two palettes 'Accents' and 'Rustics'.

Antica 'Accents' are bold in colour and possess a high gloss finish that is mirrored in matching dado strips, the colours, available in Opal; Cinnabar; Topaz; Azurite; Jade and Carnelian can be used alone, mixed together or can act as spotters against a white background, injecting vibrance and colour into any room.

On the other hand, if a more understated look is required.

Antica 'Rustics' are the perfect choice, available in five soft earthy colours Bianco; Naturale; Ambra; Verde and Grigio, these tiles possess a completely natural and rustic feel which is enhanced by their satin finish and subtly distressed edges.

Traditionally, the 100mm x 100mm size has proven more sought after for kitchen usage, however as the size gets ever more popular the demand for designs that can sit just as comfortably in bathrooms is on the increase.

The Antica collection, accompanied by the 'new generation' decorations allows greater scope for the imagination in both situations.

The 'Multi' design, available in two colourways, uses a simple design formation of small, beautifully elegant glass-like squares with an iridescent finish that creates a stunning effect.

To ensure perfect co-ordination, 'Multi' takes complementary colours from the existing collection.

Alternatively why not try the 'Stamp' design, 'Naturale Platinum Stamp' and 'Opal Platinum Stamp' feature the latest metallic applications to create a geometrical series of raised metallic dots that make up a contemporary square design, ideal for an expression of modern living.

Lesley-Ann K Blamire, Group Design and Marketing Director, says of the new additions, "Antica's 'new generation' decorations bring out the best qualities of the already popular collection by incorporating many influences from the latest home styling trends and using them to create innovative designs.

With contemporary usage in mind we have developed decorations that focus on clean lines and geometrical features with precise linear qualities, and have incorporated the latest applications of metallics and lustre finishes, to give a modern, sophisticated appeal to any dwelling.".
