Three Pines goes back to school
3 Pines Is currently undertaking two major extension and refurbishment contracts at two schools in the region.
With all building contracts, health and safety as well as minimum disruption are two of the most important factors, and that's truer than ever when the project is taking place at a school, as Three Pines Building Co has discovered.
The Wolverhampton based company is currently undertaking two major extension and refurbishment contracts at two schools in the region.
At Green Acres School in Bilston, Three Pines was chosen by the school itself to handle a major extension and refurbishment lasting 14 weeks.
Head teacher at the school Brenda Richards comments: "When Three Pines applied for the tender we had no hesitation in selecting them due to their excellent reputation for working at educational premises and their vast experience." Once completed, Green Acres will boast a new administration office, disabled toilet and shower, medical room and reception.
Mrs Richards continues: "Although major building work is involved the pupils are able to continue their education safely while looking forward to an improved school." While it is the pupils who will primarily benefit from the work Three Pines undertakes at Green Acres, at Alexandra High School, the local community will have use of the new facilities.
At the school in Sandwell, Three Pines is building an extension which will be used by community groups as well as the school itself.
Graham Howard is the site manager for the project.
He comments: "As with all educational building projects, ensuring the pupils are not affected is paramount".
"Having worked on council projects for more than 20 years, I am hugely impressed with Three Pines work".
"We are on target and all the workers have been hugely efficient." Three Pines has also constructed security fencing to ensure the building area is kept separate from the school.
Three Pines offer a complete project service, from refurbishment to extensions or new build.
