Kopex launch Pipe-Prep ? a tool that prepares pipe ends for joining and soldering.

Kopex, the makers of Pipeslice, the revolutionary, award-winning pipe cutting tool, have announced the launch of Pipe-Prep ? a tool that prepares pipe ends for joining and soldering.

Pipe-Prep brings many benefits to plumbers, fitters and DIY enthusiasts, saving time, avoiding rework and failures on soldered joints.

Pipe-Prep is a unique tool that prepares copper pipe ends.

Flattening and smoothing, rather than cutting off burrs, the tool maintains the integrity of the material but produces the right shape for subsequent joining.

Pipe-Prep removes oxidisation, a common cause of pipe joint failures, making it easier and quicker to effect sound joints.

Because any burr on the inside of the pipe is rolled and smoothed rather than being cut off and thus creating swarf, this helps to maintain contaminant-free pipe work in refrigerant and potable applications.

Pipe-Prep?s smoothing of the cut copper pipe removes any sharp edges and consequently reduces the problem of restricted flow.

Using the tool also means more contact surface area for joints, giving them long life and fewer failures.

Using Pipe-Prep could not be easier.

Like the award winning Pipeslice, this labour-saving device requires just a few twists of the wrist and its encased design means that sharp edges are kept away from fingers.

Its clever, compact design makes it suitable for use in the tightest spaces and takes little room in the toolbox.

In common with all Kopex plumbing tools, Pipe-Prep uses materials of the highest quality for long, trouble-free life.

The deburring rollers and fixing screw are made from Stainless Steel for strength and freedom from corrosion, so the tool can be used in wet-trade environments.

Two sizes are available for use on 15mm and 22mm copper pipe.
