New Pilkington Pyrodur Plus is an advanced clear fire-resistant laminated glass meeting all the latest British and European fire and impact standards.
Pilkington Building Products - UK has boosted its specialist fire-resistant glass portfolio with the introduction of new Pilkington Pyrodur Plus, a glass ideally suited for glazing of timber fire doors and door sets in a wide variety of building types and designs The new version has a reduced glass thickness of exactly 7mm and yet impact resistance performance has been improved to Class B of BS 6206:1981 (ref BSI report 262/4222317) and Class 2(B)2 to BS EN 12600:2002 (ref TNO report)

As with all the products within The Pilkington fire-resistant glass range, New Pilkington Pyrodur Plus is fully tested and assessed to BS and EN standards in the following formats:.
* 30 minutes integrity in a single leaf single acting timber doorset with side and over panels.
Maximum pane size tested 950mm x 2050mm (ref test report RF03068).
* 30 minutes integrity in a single leaf acting timber doorset (ref test report RF00137).
* 30 minutes integrity in a double leaf single acting timber doorset with side and over panels (ref test report RF00138).
* 30 minutes integrity in a multi-pane steel screen with doorset (ref rest report 118798).
New Pilkington Pyrodur Plus is also approved for a wide range of applications as part of the Certifire Scheme (Certificate of Approval No CF 328).
Certifire is an independent third party approval scheme for fire-resistant products, operated and managed by Warrington Certification Limited.
Certifire provides for evaluation based on initial type testing, product surveillance and audit testing, to provide the specifier with even greater confidence in the performance and consistency of the product.
