Glass Systems now offers Pilkington Energikare
Sealed unit manufacturer Glass Systems is launching Pilkington Energikare to its customers, ready for the implementation of amendments to Part L in October 2010.
Glass Systems operates from three sites in South Wales, including its flagship facility in Swansea.
Pilkington Energikare
The company provides insulating glass units to domestic, commercial, new build and local authority customers.
Alan Atkinson, managing director, Glass Systems said: "By including Pilkington Energikare in our range, the insulating glass units we manufacture will allow our customers to market fully Part L compliant windows with a Window Energy Rating (WER) of C and above".
Glass Systems manufactures more than 28,000 insulating glass units per week.
The addition of Pilkington Energikare to its portfolio will help homeowners to improve the energy efficiency of their properties with the security of dealing with Pilkington, one of the best known brands in the industry.
Pilkington Energikare combines Pilkington Optiwhite and Pilkington K Glass, and can reduce net heat loss from windows by up to 90 per cent, when upgrading from single glazing.
Pilkington Energikare simultaneously allows in more heat and light from the sun, contributing positively to a home's energy requirements.
