Polaron completes massive Emirates Palace lighting project Polaron has completed a mammoth project to supply the lighting control systems for the newly opened Emirates Palace hotel complex in Abu Dhabi.
Worth approximately GBP1 million, the contract for the hotel's public areas and suites included 2350 remote control plates and more than 16,000 dimmable lighting channels.
The system uses Polaron's latest Lightlink dimmer modules to control a wide range of light sources, and interfaces directly with the building management system.
It also seamlessly controls a wide range of other equipment from various suppliers.
The Polaron system provides staff and guests at the seven star hotel with simple, single point control of lighting and other features in bedroom suites and public areas.
For example, check in staff can select a 'welcome scene' to greet guests when they first enter their rooms, creating a comfortable ambience through appropriate settings for lighting, air-conditioning, curtain position and audio-visual system.
Set in an 84 hectare beachfront park, the 850,000 square metre Emirates Palace complex consists of a spectacular central palace for visiting dignitaries, the region's largest conference facilities and a prestige hotel with over 300 luxurious guest rooms and suites.
Polaron has previously supplied the complete lighting control system for the region's only other seven star hotel, the world famous Burj Al Arab in Dubai.
