Emergency lighting company P4 Limited has launched what it claims is the world's slimmest T5 low profile inverter for the latest generation of T5 linear lamps.

Leading independent emergency lighting company P4 Limited has launched what it claims is the world's slimmest T5 low profile inverter for the latest generation of T5 linear lamps The unprecedented 21mm depth enables designers, OEMs and specifiers to integrate it simply into the most shallow luminaire or extrusion, and meet the exacting space requirements for modern architectural lighting schemes

Another breakthrough is the vastly increased wattage range, from 6W-58W, that gives the designer additional flexibility.

It can be used with either nickel metal hydride or nickel cadmium batteries, and is available in non self testing, self testing, computer or radio addressable versions depending on the location, budget or application.

The T5 ultra low profile inverter incorporates transformer energy-absorption charging technology to achieve far lower operating temperatures and energy consumption.

A special relay circuit is fitted to break the electrical supply to the mains ballast during testing or emergency conditions "We have stretched our emergency lighting design expertise to make what we think is the most complete product of its type available for today's built environment," says P4's Peter Warner.
