Self testing emergency lighting signs from P4
P4, the leading supplier of emergency lighting systems, has launched its Lumasign Design range of sign luminaires for higher specification installations.
Combining a clean, distinctive modern design with uncompromising quality construction and performance, they break new ground in sign luminaire design.
Using LEDs as the source of illumination, the Lumasign Design range provide a lamp life of at least 50,000 hours to minimise lamp maintenance.
They also secure for the user lower running costs, since LEDs need less power as they use a smaller battery and charger.
The new range, fully compliant with the requirements of BS EN1838 / BS5266 Pt.
7 1999, offers single-sided and double-sided versions, and is available in wall mounted, ceiling mounted or "flag" wall mounted formats.
It comprises an Over Door Sign, a suspended ceiling mounted version and a flag sign that is installed at 90deg to the wall.
The new range fully complements P4's existing fire safety signs, Alan Daniels, Business Development Director at P4, explains: "We set our designers the task of minimising the footprint and maximising the appeal".
"They have delivered us a range that we believe is perfect for today's built environment".
P4 Lumasign Design is installed via a standard double-gang recessed socket box thanks to an unique quick fit mounting arrangement.
It can be simply disconnected and removed for decorating without risk of contaminating signs with paint and can be fitted after the building is complete.
An important feature of all products of the range is the incorporation of self testing control modules to assist compliance with the requirements of the Regulatory Reform Order 2005 by automatically carrying out regular emergency lighting testing in accordance with BS EN50172 / BS5266 Pt.8.
All models are also available with P4 Fastel interface for incorporation into a FASTELink computer addressable emergency lighting system.
Attractive options include alternative format and special versions of legend panels, available to order, and the choice of a central battery system, static inverter and mains versions.
Available from January 2008, this range is to be featured by P4 at the ARC 08 exhibition at the Business Design Centre in London from the 11th to the 13th of February.
