Panel Projects, the specialist UK cleanroom panel manufacturer, report a highly successful attendance at the first Cleanroom Technology Exhibition and Conference in Brussels.
The company showcased the tremendous benefits of its Puracore Aluminium Honeycomb Wall and Ceiling Panel Solutions for Cleanroom Construction.
Feedback was extremely positive and very welcome.
Amongst the panel's range of benefits, the many visitors to the companies stand repeatedly identified a narrow number of key characteristics that met their specific requirements.
Providing benefits to both the end-user and cleanroom Construction Company the provision of prefabricated panels and integrated service positions was seen as a vital feature.
Not only does prefabrication allow greater flexibility in design but it also lowers overall project cost by minimising onsite alteration to the panel system.
To address the time constraints inherent in new build installation and retro fitting the panel's lightweight, modular and pre manufactured nature afforded the ability to significantly shorten installation time.
Aluminium honeycombs superior strength and lightweight over traditional cores allows large span wall panels to be installed in one lift.
The companies aluminium honeycomb long-span walk-on-ceiling demonstration panel had many visitors and co-exhibitors seething with frustration as they leapt up and down mercilessly to test the panels strength.
Fortunately the major benefit of using aluminium honeycomb as a panel core is its immense strength, the panel far exceeded BS6399 loading capabilities, so all involved were quite safe.
The sheer strength of the aluminium honeycomb affords the opportunity for increased plant maintenance without further intrusion into the cleanroom environment.
Durability and longevity have long been an issue with industry standard core materials such as mineral fibre and PIR that can compress, fracture and eventually delaminate.
During installation panels are often subject to some form of abuse, as they are when used as walk on ceilings.
The stable hexagonal structure of aluminium honeycomb provides the panel with excellent compressive and tensile strength.
The panel will maintain its uniformity and will not delaminate.
Peter Denford, Technical Director at Panel Projects, commented, "This year's Cleanroom Expo was an important event in our calendar signifying the launch of our Puracore Cleanroom Panel System on a truly pan-European basis' The highly targeted nature of the show organiser's pre show marketing ensured many of the industries key decision makers and influencers visited the Panel Projects stand.
Keen interest was registered from fellow exhibitors and positive relations were also initiated with representatives from a number of Cleanroom Construction and European corporations in the Pharma, Microelectronic and Semiconductor sectors.
