IT-Powered Automation at the Hanover Trade Show 2007: Complete Production Line Showcases Automation Solution.

The use of globally accepted IT standards in automation technology enables universal data exchange, from the field to the top management levels.

This is proven in action in a complete production line being presented in the Application Park, Hall 17, of the Hanover Trade Show 2007 by automation specialist Phoenix Contact and eleven of its partners:.

- axelius automation.

- Bosch Rexroth.

- Digicolor.

- Festo.

- Kuka.

- MPDV.

- Pepperl+Fuchs.

- Rittal.

- SAP.

- Sick.

- Trumpf.

These specialists from the mechanical and plant engineering and automation industries will demonstrate how universal horizontal and vertical communication across all corporate and production levels works, using the example of a product that is manufactured on site.

Three hundred square meters are devoted to the live solution, which shows how machine, order, and operating data are transmitted using Interbus, Ethernet, Profinet, and Bluetooth technologies - from start to finish, from field devices to MES and SAP systems.
