Portakabin, the UK's leading modular building supplier, took pole position when Millbrook Proving Ground required a new high specification showroom and customer centre.

Based in Bedford, Millbrook is one of Europe's leading locations for the development and demonstration of every type of land vehicle - from motorcycles and passenger cars to heavy commercial, military and off-road vehicles.

Renowned for hosting lavish press days, technical driving courses, staff training and new car model launches, Millbrook required the new facilities to provide a modern and contemporary hosting space for its premium guests and end users.

The 150m single storey building includes a fully glazed wall; a light and spacious open plan meeting and reception area, as well as spotlights and floor tiles, both of which were specially imported from Italy.

The attention to detail throughout the project has meant the building has seen the finest of finishing touches and distinguishing features.

Committed to providing the highest levels of customer service, Portakabin ensured a dedicated project manager was on site at all times for the duration of the project, giving Millbrook total peace of mind that the building would be completed on time and on budget.

The Portakabin building was also delivered to Millbrook with a five-year product warranty and 20 year structural warranty as well as the pioneering Portakabin Customer Charter.

This states that if Portakabin fails to deliver a project on time and to the agreed contract sum, the customer will be entitled to an additional six months product warranty'.
