Such inspection is an extremely rapid method of identifying hot spots on equipment or electrical panels.
Therefore, a single survey could identify a low transformer oil level, a defective motor bearing, poor insulation and a defective circuit breaker in a panel! "There is currently no other method which can compete with thermal imaging.
It can provide an instant snapshot of plant health, identifying problem areas and locating faults undetectable by more conventional maintenance methods," says Jon Goody.
These surveys are non-invasive and can considerably reduce the chances of unplanned down time and loss of production.
A comprehensive report is provided with photographic evidence and prioritised actions which can reduce costly reactive maintenance.
A typical thermal imaging survey on a small to medium factory can be carried out in a single day and can be carried out as requested, or as part of a longer term Procuro maintenance agreement, perhaps encompassing regular electrical inspection or high voltage maintenance.
