Pomery Natural Stone quality granites
Pomery Natural Stone provided much of the hard landscaping materials for competition-winning scheme for Camden Arts Centre.
Tony Fretton Architects, in recognising the qualities of natural stone, made this an integral part of its competition-winning scheme for the Camden Arts Centre on Arkwright Road in the outskirts of Hampstead This Victorian building has had a chequered career since starting life as part of Andrew Carnegie's philanthropic public libraries scheme in the late 19th Century

Closures, re-openings and changes of use have come and gone, but the building can finally look forward to a new lease of life with extensive remodelling now completed within the retained Gothic exterior.
A new, modern entrance has been created, with Pomery Natural Stone acting as the source of much of the hard landscaping materials used in the immediate vicinity.
The Slough-based supplier and stone consultant brought in from Portugal prepared steel grey granite steps up to the new entrance, and a further quantity of paving for the walkways leading to, and at the top of, the steps.
Pomery Natural Stone's silver grey granite setts have also been used at vehicle access points, whilst the company supplied many tons of granite chippings to provide a cosmetic textured surface to concrete pathways - with appropriately sited corduroy tactile paving - throughout the complex.
"We are particularly proud of the Verde Pastiche granite service-counter tops," said Pomery Natural Stone's Phil Kneller.
"They were specified for the garden cafe and the counter-top contractor, Lister Carter remarked that they had never seen such a fine finish on natural stone.
"We sourced them from Brazil, through our supplier in Portugal and while we always demand the best of materials and finishes, it's always gratifying when a client acknowledges the time and effort we've taken to fulfil their specification.".
