More than 5000m2 of static control, safety and heavy duty sheet and tile vinyl floorcoverings, plus specialist vinyl wall and ceiling claddings installed at the new Ivax Pharmaceuticals facility.

More than 5000m2 of static control, safety and heavy duty sheet and tile vinyl floorcoverings, plus specialist vinyl wall and ceiling claddings - from commercial flooring specialists Polyflor Ltd - have been installed at the new Ivax Pharmaceuticals Ltd facility at Preston Brook, Runcorn Polyflor Finesse SD static dissipative tiles have been installed in static sensitive IT areas, with low maintenance Polyflor 2000 PUR heavy duty sheet vinyl and Polysafe Astral sheet vinyl safety flooring chosen, respectively, for laboratory areas and for the canteen, changing rooms and toilets

Polysafe Astral has also been used in "clean" areas, paired with Polyclad Plus, a tough, durable low maintenance PVC wall and ceiling cladding specially developed for use in high hygiene installations.

Polyflor Finesse SD provides an electrical resistance factor of 106 - 109 ohms, tested to IEC 61340-4-1 2003 Rg, and is available in 2mm gauge in both 608mmx608mm tiles and 2m wide sheet.

Polyflor 2000 PUR, available in 25 bright colourways, features a high quality polyurethane reinforcement which, combined with a superior closed surface finish, can reduce maintenance by up to 48%.

And the cost of cleaning Polysafe Astral safety flooring can be cut by as much as 60% thanks to its unique Supratec soil-releasing polymer system.

All the products can be welded at the seams and to coved skirtings to create continuous, impervious surfaces and all meet the general performance requirements of EN649 and, fully tested to fire safety standard EN 13501-1, are certified as class Bfl-S1, achieving the criteria EN ISO 9239-1 3 8kw/m2 and the mandatory requirement of ENO ISO 11925-2 pass.
