A colourful combination of shades from low maintenance Polyflor 2000 PUR and Polyflor XL PU sheet vinyl floorcoverings have been used to bring a brighter, fresher look to a hosptital cafeteria.

A colourful combination of shades from low maintenance Polyflor 2000 PUR and Polyflor XL PU sheet vinyl floorcoverings - from commercial flooring specialists Polyflor Ltd - have been used to bring a brighter, fresher look to the cafeteria at the Freeman Hospital, Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

The floor design was created via the Polyflor Expressions Designs Service, which uses computerised water jet cutting techniques to produce a variety of precise shapes and styles for inlaid decoration, and installed by local flooring contractor Trade Sales (UK).

Polyflor 2000 PUR offers a choice of 25 bright shades and features a high quality polyurethane reinforcement which, combined with a superior closed surface finish, can cut maintenance costs by up to 48% by facilitating a low cost, polish-free maintenance regime for the lifetime of the floorcovering.

And Polyflor XL PU - in 24 colourways - features a specially formulated polyurethane surface treatment which also reduces maintenance costs by improving the soil resistance and cleanability of the floor.

Both floorcoverings meet the general performance requirements of EN 649:1996 and, fully tested to fire safety standard EN 13501-1, is certified as Class Bfl-S1, achieving the criteria EN ISO 9239-1 ü 8kw/m2 and the mandatory requirement of EN ISO 11925-2 pass.

In common with all Polyflor sheet vinyl floorcoverings, both can be welded at the seams and to coved skirtings to create continuous, impervious surfaces which offer no sanctuary to dirt and bacteria.
