At Oxhey Early Years Centre, Dunstable-based flooring contractor Hi-Tec Floors has used a variety of Polyflor sheet vinyl products throughout the building.

The new-build Oxhey Early Years Centre in Watford features an innovative acoustic flooring system from commercial flooring specialists and Contract Flooring Association Manufacturer of the Year Polyflor to comply with the recently introduced regulations for more stringent sound insulation in school buildings Specified by property services company Mace , of Hertford, the Polyflor system features Polytred Acoustifoam - a 2mm closed cell foam backing sheet incorporating glass-polyester reinforcement - which can be installed under most Polyflor heavy duty or safety sheet vinyl floorcovering to achieve a minimum sound insulation of 18dB

At Oxhey Early Years Centre, Dunstable-based flooring contractor Hi-Tec Floors has employed this combination extensively throughout the building, using a variety of Polyflor sheet vinyl products including Polyflor Mystique PUR heavy duty and Polysafe Astral and Polysafe Design safety floors.

Polyflor Expona art and design wood effect luxury vinyl tiles have also been installed in classroom areas.

Polysafe Astral and Polysafe Design both incorporate the unique patented Supratec+ soil-releasing polymer system, which makes them up to 60% cheaper to clean.

The high quality polyurethane reinforcement and superior closed surface finish of Polyflor Mystique PUR facilitate polish-free maintenance for the lifetime of the flooring, achieving cost savings of up to 48% compared with untreated products.

Polyflor Mystique PUR has also achieved the highest possible 'A' rating under the Building Research Establishment's Green Guide to Specification scheme.
