Philips High School in Whitefield, Manchester has been quick to choose new Polyflor Sport 67 multipurpose indoor sports flooring to refurbish the school gymnasium.

A regular specifier of sheet vinyl floorcoverings from the Polyflor portfolio, Philips High School in Whitefield, Manchester, has been quick to choose new Polyflor Sport 67 multipurpose indoor sports flooring to refurbish the school gymnasium "Various Polyflor products are widely used throughout the school"

"The original gymnasium flooring, used by the school during the day and by the public at night and weekends, has given us outstanding service - but the new flooring is even better," says Philips High head teacher Chris Trees.

"It has a degree of spring which makes it ideal for the sports played and it is even more durable and attractive".

Recommended for use in school and local authority sports halls, gymnasia and leisure centres, Polyflor Sport 67 - in an attractive green colourway - was installed at the school by Stockport-based flooring contractor Bramhall Flooring.

Polyflor Sport 67, and heavier gauge Polyflor Sport 80, each provide the underfoot resilience and long life demanded by such high traffic applications.

Tested in accordance with BS 7044 and other relevant European sports floor standards, the new products are suitable for a wide range of sporting activities including football, tennis, netball and basketball.

Polyflor Sport 67 is a 6.7mm gauge flooring available in 2mx18m rolls with a choice of six plain colours and a maple wood effect.

Polyflor Sport 80, in 8mm gauge and 2mx15m rolls, offers three colour options - green, blue and maple.

Both are available to order in non-standard lengths.

Both also feature a polymer surface treatment for enhanced protection and easier on-going maintenance.

Polyflor Sport 67 and Polyflor Sport 80 can be installed over concrete, or on cradle and batten systems for designation as impact energy absorbing according to BS7044: Part 4.

Line markings can be painted on as required.
