A clean, modern and safe environment at the new-build Sandbrook Community Primary School in Rochdale has been created with heavy duty and safety sheet vinyl floorcoverings from Polyflor

Brightly coloured low maintenance heavy duty and safety sheet vinyl floorcoverings from commercial flooring specialist Polyflor have been used to help create a clean, modern and safe environment at the new-build Sandbrook Community Primary School in Rochdale, Lancashire St Helen's-based flooring contractor CMC Flooring has installed a variety of colours from the polish-free Polyflor 2000 PUR collection in classrooms, with shades from the Polysafe Corona range of safety floorings fitted in classrooms, corridors and washrooms

Ideal for schools, hospitals, offices, shops, stores and institutional applications, Polyflor 2000 PUR offers a range of 20 elegant multi-tone shades, each featuring two base shades and two highlight tones.

The product is available in sheet and tile and in two gauges - 2mm and 2.5mm - to cater for differing traffic levels.

Polyflor 2000 PUR features homogeneous monolayer construction for 100% useful life, plus a high quality polyurethane reinforcement which, combined with a superior closed surface finish, can cut maintenance costs by up to 48% by facilitating a low cost, polish-free maintenance regime for the lifetime of the floorcovering.

Polyflor 2000 PUR meets the performance requirements of EN 649 and, fully tested to fire safety standard EN 13501-1, is certified as Class Bfl-S1, achieving the criteria EN ISO 9239-1 8kw/m2 and the mandatory requirement of EN ISO 11925-2 pass.

Slip resistant Polysafe Corona incorporates Supratec+, the second generation of Polyflor's unique soil releasing polymer system, now including polyurethane for reduced dirt pick up, even easier maintenance and cleaning cost savings of up to 60%.

The range also features a new advanced formulation, providing enhanced flexibility for even easier fitting and welding, plus sustainable slip resistance for the guaranteed life of the product, achieving 36 on the RRL Pendulum wet test (Four-S rubber).

This, combined with a surface roughness of Rtm 20um, ensures that Corona complies with Health and Safety Executive guidance and with EN 13845, the European Norm for Safety Flooring.

The practical appeal of the range is matched by its aesthetic appearance - a superb choice of 12 fresh, vivid colours, carefully chosen to complement shades available in Polyflor's heavy duty smooth range of commercial floor coverings, thus enabling architects and designers to co-ordinate and contrast colours in different use areas.
