Variety of bright, attractive and practical vinyl floorcoverings from Polyflor have been installed at a Children's Centre in Lancashire.

Local flooring contractor Rishton Flooring has installed timber effect sheet vinyl flooring from Polyflor's Forest FX range in general play areas, Polyflor Kudos PU luxury vinyl tiles in reception and Polysafe Standard sheet vinyl safety flooring in "wet play" areas and washrooms Forest FX range is targeted primarily at the education, healthcare and high street sectors, but its outstanding appearance and performance characteristics are seen as appealing to the broad commercial market

The collection features 14 of the most widely specified wood colours, including oak, beech, maple and cherry as well as teak, walnut, mahogany and cocobolo.

With a 0.7mm wearlayer, Forest FX has excellent durability and is ideally suited to high traffic applications.

The range also features a polyurethane reinforcement (PUR), which protects the floor during installation and handover and facilitates a polish-free maintenance regime.

The Polyflor Kudos PU range, comprising 12 wood designs and 12 marble, granite, slate, sandstone, travertine and metallic effects, features a specially formulated polyurethane surface treatment which improves the soil resistance and cleanability of the floor, reducing maintenance costs by up to 24%.

Suited to all areas where risks of water spillage can occur, the ever popular Polysafe Standard offers a choice of 16 fresh, modern colourways and a surface emboss which hugely enhances its cleanability.

Coloured quartz, aluminium oxide and silicon carbide particles are incorporated within the product for improved traction and safety underfoot.

As well as meeting the performance requirements of EN13845 and being BBA Agrement certified as G5ws, Polysafe Standard conforms to HSE guidelines, achieving a sustainable slip resistance value of 36 on the RRL Pendulum wet test (using Four S/Slider 96 rubber) and a surface roughness of Rz 20um.

Fully tested to fire safety standard EN 13501-1, Polysafe Standard is certified as Class Bfl-S1, achieving the criteria EN ISO 9239-1 8kw/m and the mandatory requirement of EN ISO 11925-2 pass.

The product has been independently tested and results demonstrate that the flooring inhibits the growth of MRSA.

An effective cleaning regime is, however, the most important defence against infection.

In common with all Polysafe vinyl floorcoverings, Polysafe Standard is flexible, for easy fitting, welding and site-formed coving and can also be welded at the seams and to coved skirtings to create continuous, impervious surfaces.
