Polysafe Strata decorative sheet vinyl safety flooring from Polyflor has been installed in the tunnel stair area at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.

The flooring was installed by Cardiff-based flooring contractor CS Flooring Solutions, who also fitted slate effect luxury vinyl tiles from the Polyflor Expona art and design collection in the stadium hospitality suite Bright and vibrant colours plus all the proven performance benefits of original Polysafe Standard are the hallmarks of Polysafe Strata, which is available in nine exciting shades, each featuring a different multi-coloured flake decoration

In all other respects, Polysafe Strata is designed to mirror the features and benefits of Polysafe Standard in relation to availability, price, cleanability and true slip resistant performance.

Incorporating quartz crystals, aluminium oxide and silicon carbide particles throughout the full product thickness for improved traction and safety underfoot, Polysafe Strata, in common with all Polyflor sheet vinyls, can be welded at the seams and to coved skirtings to create continuous, impervious surfaces.

As well as meeting the performance requirements of EN13845, the range conforms to HSE guidelines, achieving a sustainable slip resistance value of >=36 on the RRL Pendulum wet test (using Four-S/Slider 96 rubber) and a surface roughness of Rz >= 20um.

Fully tested to fire safety standard EN 13501-1, Polysafe Strata is certified as Class Bfl-S1, achieving the criteria EN ISO 9239-1 >= 8kw/m2 and the mandatory requirement of EN ISO 11925-2 pass.

Combining stunning designs with quality materials and proven functionality, the Expona art and design collection has been specially developed to widen the horizons of creative interior design, offering a balanced choice of 20 timber and 20 stone/design effects.

Suitable for very heavy commercial use and ideal for a variety of leisure, education, retail and specific healthcare installations, Expona features a polyurethane surface treatment, aiding maintenance and removing traditional restrictions on freedom of design choice.
