Life is much quieter at Frizinghall Community Centre in Bradford following the installation of Polyflor Gallery FX Acoustic sheet vinyl flooring in the meeting room and corridors.

The flooring was installed by local flooring contractor Stott's who also fitted Polysafe Vogue Ultra sheet vinyl safety flooring in the centre's kitchen, servery and toilets Developed in response to growing demand for effective and attractive solutions to noise pollution in buildings, heterogeneous Gallery FX Acoustic - in 14 wood, stone and mottled granite effects and featuring a 0.5mm wearlayer - is seen as especially suitable for residential areas such as aged-care, social housing and student accommodation and also for heavily trafficked areas in schools and hospitals

Gallery FX Acoustic sits alongside Forest FX Acoustic and Polyflor's established Acoustifoam system to create the Polyflor Acoustic Flooring Solution.

In line with Building Regulation Part E, all Polyflor Acoustic Solution products are produced in accordance with EN ISO 140-8.

Gallery FX Acoustic and Forest FX Acoustic both provide a high impact sound insulation of 19dB and feature a polyurethane surface reinforcement (PUR) for reduced maintenance.

The Acoustifoam system provides high impact sound insulation of 18dB.

High style, high performance Polysafe Vogue Ultra sheet vinyl safety flooring offers a choice of 12 colours and features a surface emboss which hugely improves its cleanability.

As well as meeting the performance requirements of EN13845 and being BBA Agrement certified as G5ws, the range conforms to HSE guidelines, achieving a sustainable slip resistance value of >=36 on the RRL Pendulum wet test (using Four-S/Slider 96 rubber) and a surface roughness of Rz >= 20um.Fully tested to fire safety standard EN 13501-1, Polysafe Vogue Ultra is certified as Class Bfl-S1, achieving the criteria EN ISO 9239-1 >=8kw/m2 and the mandatory requirement of EN ISO 11925-2 pass.

Incorporating coloured quartz, aluminium oxide and silicon carbide particles for improved traction and safety under foot, Polysafe Vogue Ultra, in common with all Polyflor sheet vinyls, can be welded at the seams and to coved skirtings to create continuous, impervious surfaces.
