BBA approval for Promat insulation boards

A Promat UK product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Jan 8, 2010

Promat UK has gained a BBA Agrement Certificate (09/4646) for its Promat TL Board range of thermal upgrading insulation boards.

Promat TL Board is designed for use on semi-exposed concrete soffits in applications such as underground car parks.

It features a non-combustible calcium silicate board bonded to phenolic insulation and is resistant to the effects of both moisture and impact.

It is designed to be fixed to the underside of concrete floors, achieving U-values of 0.20W/m2K or better and is suitable for use in conversion, refurbishment or new-build situations.

When mechanically fixed to a concrete soffit, Promat TL Board can exceed building regulation requirements.

It will provide reliable thermal performance over the lifetime of the building and also help achieve an enhanced BREEAM rating.

Its lack of CFCs and HCFCs gives it Global Warming Potential (GWP) of less than 5 and it also carries Class 0 rating for surface spread of flame.
