English Heritage approve structural waterproofing and flint wall repairs at The Hoo, Willingdon (Near Eastbourne).

Poulton Remedial Services have commenced Masonry Repairs and Structural Waterproofing to The Hoo, Willingdon (Near Eastbourne) The remedial scheme was designed and proposed by John Loades of J M Loades and Associates Consulting Strutural Engineers, Hastings

English Heritage Approval, and Listed Building Consent have been passed.

Poulton Remedial Services have installed the Structural Waterproofing Membrane System.

The wall in question is rubble filled with stone on the inner leaf and flint on the outer face.

The remedial specification details for waterproofing internally and stabilisation of the wall fabric.

The wall thickness is approximately 450mm thick.

The wall will be initially remedially wall tied using Helifix DryFix ties, leaving only 6mm pilot holes to be made good.

Voiding within the wall will then be filled using Fosroc Conbextra GP.

The discrete, rapid and effective repair has satisfied the exacting requirements of English Heritage.
