Parker Merchanting, the UK's leading supplier of site equipment and supplies, is getting it right for the construction industry with a brand new range of geosynthetics - Defiance Geogrids.

Defiance Geogrids: using only the most advanced geosynthetic materials, the bi-axial geogrids offer a competitive range of engineering properties including remarkable strength, weathering and corrosion resistance, and top quality creep performance Geogrids are essential for the reinforcement of soft ground and can greatly benefit a number of projects

Not only do they reduce fill depth by up to 40% whilst controlling differential settlement and compaction, geogrids also reduce a number of costs, including those of excavation, aggregate tax and landfill.

Plus, once in place geogrids greatly increase design life, reducing the incurrence of ongoing repair costs.

Manufactured from polypropylene - a material unaffected by the acids, alkalis and salts normally found in soils - Defiance Geogrids are suitable for a range of applications including roads, railways, reservoirs, tunnels and other underground structures.

There are three products in the range to choose from, depending on the level of tensile strength required.

The Defiance Geogrid 2020, Defiance Geogrid 3030 and the Defiance Geogrid 4040 have tensile strengths of 20.0kN/m, 30.0kN/m and 40.0kN/m respectively.
