Proteq Ltd has recently appointed David Hughes as Operations Manager to enhance its current level of service to existing customers and the growing number of new customers, throughout the UK.

Leading structural repair and specialist rope access company Proteq Ltd in Epworth, Lincolnshire has recently appointed David Hughes as Operations Manager to enhance its current level of service to existing customers and the growing number of new customers, throughout the UK.

David who will be working from the Middlesbrough Office of the company has extensive Project and Operations Management experience, having worked for an industrial access company for the past 20 years.

David will be managing several major projects for the industrial abseiling part of the business.

In addition he will be seeking out new projects for two recently launched products, Promesh (Structural safety mesh for the outside of a building) and Proline (an industrial overhead line safety system).

Managing Director, Phil Bateman explains the new appointment, "As a valuable member of the Proteq team, David will provide technical expertise and support on our full range of products and services to customers.

We are expecting to develop our business significantly within the UK over the next 18 months and have recently launched two innovative new products, which David will be dealing with." Commenting upon this new role David said: "This role presents itself as a real challenge and an opportunity for me to work with a growing company that has a remarkable portfolio of loyal, small and large clients.

I will be working mainly from the Middlesbrough office but my remit will be to look after existing and new projects for our products and services, throughout the UK.

Having worked for a major industrial abseiling company in Middlesbrough for the past twenty years, I have the skills that will enable me to grow and improve the systems we have in place here at Proteq, to ultimately deliver a better service for all our customers About Proteq Ltd Operating for over ten years in Epworth, Lincolnshire, Proteq Ltd originally started life as a specialist access, rigging and inspection services company.

However during this time the company has increased it remit of specialist services to include industrial elevated painting, structural inspections, structural maintenance and repairs, and installation services.

The company has recently launched two new products, Promesh a patented structural mesh offering an alternative to the installation of costly and inconvenient scaffolding and Proline, an overhead line safety system which keeps workers safe when working at heights.

Working at sites throughout the UK, Europe and occasionally the Far East the company employs a minimum of 8 full time members of staff which can rise up to 30, depending upon the number of projects at any one time.

The client base includes some of the most well known international organisations many of whom have been loyal to the organisation since the beginning.

These include; Blackpool Tower, Bluestone, BP, Elf, Eurostar, Exxon, Fina, JSS Property Services, London Eye, Railtrack and Total.
