Q Flooring offers rapid cure resin flooring system

Q Flooring Systems has utilised floor coating technology to provide a replacement floor at the Blackpool Tower Lounge.

The Tower Lounge Bar, situated under the iconic UK tourist attraction Blackpool Tower, needed to be replaced after years of heavy usage had caused the existing wooden floor to deteriorate.

Q-Flooring Systems proposed a system that would meet all the client's requirements providing an easy to clean, slip resistant resin floor that would withstand heavy foot traffic.

The existing floor area was removed to reveal an older vinyl floor underneath the timber and carpet, and beneath that was an older damaged asphalt floor.

All areas were shot blasted and repaired to ensure the coating system would bond to the floor.

Q Flooring applied two primer coats followed by a fast curing acrylic resin that incorporated decorative blue and beige quartz granules sealed within a resin binder.

The seamless finish flooring is UV-stable, has antibacterial properties and is slip resistant.

The floors were prepared and treated in a phased operation over two days.

The rapid curing resin flooring system ensured that it was ready for use ahead of schedule.
