Rainbow produce maintenance free Aluminium Edge

Rainbow Professional develop a Aluminium Edging products range, Stable Edge, mainly used to edge compacted surfaces like Tarmacadam and Bitumen, after demand for alternative edging continued to grow.

Rainbow Professional have been distributing a range of aluminium landscape edgings under the brand name Rite Edge for over 7 years, each year the success and demand for which continually grows.

During this growth, several new opportunities for alternative edgings became apparent.

Stable Edge gives designers and landscape architects freedom to create intricate designs due to the flexibility and versatility of the product, and at the same time reducing labour costs by speeding up the time taken to install when compared with traditional PCC kerbstone edgings and the like.

Being aluminium, Stable Edge does not rust rot or need treating or repainting, making it completely maintenance free.

Following the successes of Rite Edge and Stable Edge, Rainbow Professional became involved in supplying the growing industry of Green Roof Systems.

It quickly became apparent that there was a requirement for an Edging System which improved upon anything else currently available.

Following consultation and successful trials with Sky Gardens - the UK's leading independent green roof specialists - Rainbow Professional developed the new and innovative product aptly named Roof Edge.

Roof Edge is an adaptation of Stable Edge which can either be mechanically fastened or bonded to the roofing structure as a system to retain the planting substrate and ballast used in the construction of intensive and extensive green roof systems.

Roof Edge has permeation slots along the base of its upstand which allows the natural water run off to permeate to the drainage channels at the base of the roofing structure.

Also available in two main depths which being 75mm and 100mm.

Roof Edge is the alternative solution which opens up the design parameters currently experienced by Green Roof designers and architects.

Roof Edge can also be incorporated into other green roof systems and can also be used as a Ballast Retaining Baton on Green Roof Systems which have steeper inclines than most.
