Radway win major contract to refurbish in excess of 5000 properties as part of a Preventative Planned Maintenance Programme for Solihull Community Housing.

The company beat off strong competition from a number of national main contractors to win the contract which involves the replacement of roofline, rainwater goods, front and rear entrance doors and roof repairs over a 2 year period The programme, which at its peak will involve in excess of 60 properties per week, will be carried out with residents in occupation

The contract follows on from the successful culmination of a window replacement programme for Solihull Community Housing involving its complete stock of low rise properties.

The programme was originally scheduled to be carried out over 5 years but will be completed more than 2 years early in February 2008 helping the client to demonstrate best value to its tenants throughout the Borough.

The window programme which was undertaken on an open-book basis consistently achieved tenant satisfaction KPIs in excess of 98% and this clearly assisted Radway in its drive to follow the programme with the Preventative Planned Maintenance work.

Radway put forward a unique proposition, fully supported by its key supply chain partners to ensure that the work will not only be completed on time and with excellent customer satisfaction, but will also be underpinned by long-term guarantees from all stakeholders allowing Solihull Community Housing to significantly reduce the amount of unscheduled maintenance in favour of planned work.

To ensure absolute transparency Radway also included the application of its unique "Enterprise Extranet" web based real time project management software which allows Solihull access to the contract on a password protected secure basis.

As a result members of the client's project management team can drill down to all aspects of the contract including site operations, costs and progress from remote locations at every stage.

The Programme further cements the strong commercial relationship between Solihull Community Housing and key members of the Radway Team across the organisation which has been built up over many years.
