One of the significant benefits afforded by Reynaers CW50 SG curtain wall system is that it facilitates creative freedom.
This makes it extremely suitable for projects such as Duart House, where the glazed facades are angled to stand proud of the building's front and rear elevations to maximise the use of natural light.
The CW50 system offers six individual styles, which each allow for the application of various outside appearances.
The CW50 SG facade not only offers unlimited creative freedom, but also incorporates slim sightlines.
Its wide product range means that any combination of vertical and inclined planes are possible together with the integration of different types of vents.
This also offers extensive solutions for the different performance requirements of a facade.
Another benefit of the structurally glazed curtain wall system is that it facilitates the use of frameless glazing to be clamped directly onto the aluminium load bearing structure.
This maximises the light penetration into the building while, in turn, minimizes the exterior visible width of the aluminium structure.
Solaglas Contracting Scotland developed a Reynaers solution utilising CW50 SG to meet the architect's criteria for a distinctive and streamlined finish.
Glazing treatments to the ground floor included curtain walling CW50 and CW50 HL - a curtain wall system with horizontal accentuation - used for horizontal capping on the project.
Designed by architects Cooper Cromar, Duart House offer prestigious office accommodation at Strathclyde Business Park which, with its links to the motorway network, is fast becoming West Scotland's premier business location.
