Robinson Willey expands to new home on Merseyside
Gas and electric heating appliance manufacturer, Robinson Willey, is relocating its entire manufacturing and head office operation to Trinity Park, Merseyside.
Continued growth, coupled with successful expansion into new markets, has resulted in leading Liverpool-based gas and electric heating appliance manufacturer, Robinson Willey, relocating its entire manufacturing and head office operation to a new 85,000 sq ft facility in Trinity Park, Merseyside.
Representing a multi-million pound investment, the move not only gives RW the physical space to accommodate the projected ongoing growth that the company is experiencing, it also supports the increased technical manufacture of its core heating products - gas and electric fires.
In addition to some 60,000 sq ft being allocated to RW's manufacturing, distribution, and service operation, the Trinity Park location also takes in purpose-built commercial office featuring the latest in systems and office technology.
As Managing Director, Colin Pemberton states: "The relocation to new premises represents a GBP3.5m investment for the company and heralds the dawn of a new era".
"Not only will it enable RW to consolidate its existing manufacturing operations with increased warehouse space and improved distribution facilities, it will allow the company to further exploit new and emerging environmental and energy markets, particularly in the commercial arena".
He continues: "Our entire focus centres on ensuring that we have the correct systems and structure in place that will demonstrate to our customers that our capabilities to meet their every developing needs when it comes to providing superior heating products and meeting the capacity for bespoke, volume orders".
Transferring production to the new location on Trinity Park Industrial Estate in Merseyside will see RW invest in new automated processes that will run alongside the company's current technologies.
These include state-of-the-art Customer Relationship Management computer systems and energy product programmes adhering to today's growing requirements for super efficient low carbon products.
Other internal changes serve to strengthen the company's capabilities.
RW has recently restructured its Sales and Customer Support operations and created a new department dedicated to the field of Technical Services.
"As well as improving the flexibility, efficiency and servicing of all our valued customers, these changes will now enable us to provide a technical support function that is tailored to suit individual customer needs and specifier requirements," explains Colin.
Having occupied its present site in Liverpool for some 77 years, the switch to Trinity Park - one of Merseyside's most established industrial estates that boasts excellent communication links - will see its 110 strong workforce transfer to the new site.
