Radiodetection announce the distribution of a range of fibre optic based detection and location systems aimed at the security of perimeter fences, pipelines and data communications cables.

Radiodetection, market leaders in the field of cable and pipeline detection, is pleased to announce the distribution of a range of fibre optic based detection and location systems aimed at the security of perimeter fences, pipelines and data communications cables The 'Secure' technology systems, manufactured by Future Fibre Technologies (FFT) in Australia, use standard fibre optic cable as an advanced sensor to detect tiny movements and vibrations caused by intrusion attempts

Alarms generated, including the event location (within +/- 50m), can be fed into the proprietary CAMS software or third party control software to interface with SCADA or CCTV systems.

These robust, reliable systems are maintenance free and designed for continuous use.

Within the range, Secure Fence detects intrusion attempts on perimeter security fencing surrounding 'at risk' facilities such as airports, government buildings and military bases.

The standard system is capable of monitoring up to 60km of perimeter fence per unit, and pinpointing disturbances down to +/- 50m, irrespective of the fence being monitored.

The system can also be deployed in a covert Below Ground System (BGS).

Moreover, the system requires no external sensors, hardware or field power.

Secure Pipe is used to protect pipeline installations and provide early warning against Third Party Interference, illegal tapping incidents, unauthorised excavations, and ground movement incidents such as earthquakes and floods.

Secure Link is ideal for telecommunications applications, where illegal data cable tapping or accidental damage during excavation would be a potential problem.

Combine this with Radiodetection's cable detection equipment, such as the Cable Avoidance Tool (C.A.T.), and any excavation technique will benefit from safety and security.

Radiodetection has been the market leader in cable location and pipeline inspection products for many years.

This new range extends the company's product offering to customers into the fast growing security market.
