Novel Fibre Fencing Keeps Intruders at Bay

A Radiodetection product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Jun 27, 2003

A major new breakthrough in perimeter security is now available through Radiodetection, leading specialists in cable and pipeline detection.

Secure Fence uses fibre optic cable technology as an advanced sensor to detect tiny movements and vibrations from any intrusion attempt made, and locate the intrusion to within +/- 50 metres.

This is possible along fences or perimeters up to 60 kilometres long.

With this system, any alarm generated can be fed into the proprietary CAMS software or third party control software to interface with SCADA or CCTV systems.

This gives security crews advance warning of any intrusion for deployment to the exact spot, saving time and costs.

Intelligent event discrimination ensures very low false alarm rates for maximum efficiency.

The system is easy to install, requires no field power and is unaffected by interference from RFI, EMI, lightning or storms for a reliable, maintenance free operation.

Secure Fence is part of the 'Secure' line of products manufactured by Future Fibre Technologies (FFT), Australia.

Radiodetection sees this products as the ideal high technology solution to meet the ever-growing need for protecting 'at risk' facilities in today's security conscious climate.

It is particularly suited for high security compounds, remote military bases, airports, government buildings, maximum security prisons and foreign embassies.
