Bullimores Sand and Gravel, a supplier of aggregates to the building and construction industry, has selected Real Asset Management's Asset4000 software to improve the company's management.

Bullimores Sand and Gravel , a supplier of aggregates to the building and construction industry, has selected Real Asset Management's (RAM) Asset4000 software to improve the company's management of over 1400 assets worth in excess of GBP5 million and to provide detailed, accurate depreciation charges for plant and equipment.

Paul Marshall, IT Manager of Bullimores commented, "We have more than GBP5 million worth of assets here and it's crucial that we have accurate information on every single item".

"With this value of equipment we are depreciating asset values by more than GBP100,000 per month and it is vital to us to have detailed figures which take into account all acquisitions and disposals".

Operating from its head office in South Lincolnshire, Bullimores extracts sand, gravel and roadstone from its four quarries and delivers across the East Midlands, East Anglia, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Northamptonshire.

The company also offers plant hire and recycling services.

Bullimores takes pride in the reputation it has earned for providing customers with quality products at competitive prices, combined with a prompt and reliable delivery service.

Prior to using RAM's Asset4000 software, Bullimores was running its asset management processes on a bespoke UNIX system which was fast becoming outdated and for which support was limited.

Bullimores identified the need to upgrade its accounting systems and installed Sage MMS for its financial operations together with RAM's Asset4000 system for asset management, selected for its user-friendliness, broad functionality and the ease of integration with Sage MMS.

Asset4000 provides Bullimores with improved access to information on every asset and enables scheduling for plant maintenance and vehicle servicing, something that was not possible with the UNIX system.

Additionally, assets across all four sites can now be held centrally, allowing group-wide visibility and reporting.

Marshall concluded, "We have a great relationship with RAM and find the company to be extremely helpful and highly efficient".

"The Asset4000 software will provide us with the detailed information that we require and will also highlight for us the interdependencies that so much of our plant relies upon".

"This has always been a difficult area for us and this new software from RAM will solve a lot of problems".
