The College, which recently won the Clanrye Trophy for the overall highest results in the UK at Advanced Level, has a strong reputation for excellence in all aspects of teaching plastering skills.

Renderplas provides practical support to the College in terms of supplying PVCu beading materials for the courses.

The relationship, which has developed over the past year, is aimed at students of plastering at all levels of study from Foundation studies upwards.

"We are very appreciative of Renderplas as a sponsor, as this sort of involvement allows our students to really develop their skills," said the College's Head of Plastering, David Winchester.

"What's more, the students find the PVCu beading easy to cut and fix to plumb, and the results they achieve are better than with metal beading".

"I think this increases their appreciation of the benefits of using PVCu".

Burnley College has also recently opened a new Centre for Construction Studies, solely dedicated to Construction Trades, in a continued drive as a centre of excellence.

It has also won the Northern Regional Certificate for the leading College at NVQ2//ICA and NVQ3/ACA.
