J and M Murdoch rides high on Renault

The latest Renault Kerax, supplied by Scot Truck ., will be used by J and M Murdoch as a skip truck to transport household and construction waste to, and from, recycling centres and landfill sites.
The company currently operates 17 waste trucks, nine of which are skip trucks.
Drew Murdoch, Director of J and M Murdoch, has been an admirer of the Renault Kerax since seeing one being built on a visit to the Renault Trucks factory three years ago.
Although it was only available in mainland Europe at the time, Drew was so impressed with the 4x2 Kerax that he managed to persuade Renault to offer it to the UK market.
"I like the Renault Kerax because of the ride height," Drew explains.
"It gives excellent ground clearance of axles, exhausts, tanks and bumpers which is really important on landfill and construction sites".
The company is a strong supporter of Renault Trucks; J and M Murdoch celebrated their 40th Anniversary in 2005 and chose the new Renault Magnum as their showcase vehicle.
Established in 1965, JandM Murdoch and Son .
has become a successful family business, providing a range of services in the transport and waste disposal / recycling sectors.
Its fleet of over 30 vehicles includes skip vehicles, roll on-off vehicles, low loaders and tippers.
The company is based in Glasgow and operates all over the UK.
