RWM record number of recycling demos
Recycling and Waste Management Exhibition will be offering visitors more opportunities than ever before to view the latest sustainable waste solutions in action.
Record numbers of demonstrations are scheduled for the outdoor area, while inside, visitors and exhibitors will be encouraged to segregate their recyclable waste so that it can be compacted and baled by Mil-tek or composted by Accelerated Compost, live at the show! The live RWM recycling plant which utilises technology from Mil-tek GB , one of the UK's leading suppliers of air powered balers and waste presses, will demonstrate how cleanly and efficiently cardboard, plastic and polystyrene waste can be compacted into small recyclable bales using one of Mil-tek's state-of-the-art baling machines.
Mil-tek will also be demonstrating a range of baling machines suitable for handling more general wastes typically found in hotels, restaurants, supermarkets and food industry applications.
Particularly effective for dealing with kitchen wastes, visitors viewing the Mil-tek X-Press baler will see how easily and hygienically food waste can be compacted to leave a tidier, fresher smelling workplace.
Plant demonstrations will be hosted in the Outdoor Demonstration Area by JCB, CGCS, CARMAC, BMI Trailers, Willibald and Baughans Barrel Screens.
A number of vehicle demonstrations will also feature from companies including Ecofar UK and Zoeller and Faun Waste System.
BMI Municipal will be manoeuvring its Labrie Automizer refuse truck and the Packmat PK461 vehicle, specifically designed to enable safer handling of waste materials on Civic Amenity sites.
After each demonstration session, all equipment will be switched off to enable visitors to enter the demonstration zone for that crucial closer inspection.
Keeping the waste demonstration areas clean will be a priority for Dulevo International, the first ever sweeper manufacturer to feature at RWM.
The company's hose sweepers feature a unique in-built patented mechanical suction filtering system, which in addition to cleaning claims to eliminate all fine dust particles which contribute to air pollution.
Meanwhile, on its outdoor stand, new exhibitor Whale Tankers will be demonstrating water jetting technology that uses recycled water.
Inside, exhibitors will be busy sorting, crushing and baling on their stands and several companies will be running software demonstrations.
Visitors will be able to watch as nails and spikes are driven into tyres protected against perforation, thanks to a unique sealant from Air-Seal Products, while Environmental Mobile Control will be evaluating old mobile phones for re-use or recycling.
